Natural Allergy Remedies :: By Rosa
25/02/10
Allergies can occur both in childhood and adulthood. It is the body’s reaction towards certain things. Allergens are the main cause of allergies. Anything can be an allergen for someone.
The most common types of allergens are anther dust, home dust, animal hair, bee sting, medicines and even certain foods such as milk, fish and eggs.
Allergy symptoms can include but are not limited to itchy eyes and ears, shortness of breath, general swelling, severe wheezing, sneezing, runny nose, coughing, sinus problems, a sore throat and rash.
In order to treat an allergy you should stay away from allergens and strengthen your immune system by taking Vitamin C, which provides quick relief.
You can also try using natural allergy remedies as they can be effective. Nevertheless ,make sure you are not allergic to the natural remedies themselves!
When preparing food add garlic to it, as it provides relief from any kind of allergy.
Lime is also an effective remedy (if you aren’t allergic to citrus fruits, that is). Take a glass of lukewarm water, squeeze half a lime into it and add a tablespoon of honey. Take this mixture once a day early in the morning, and use it for several months. It acts as an antiallergic remedy.
If you have an allergy on home dust, make sure you keep your home free of dust. Wash the sheets and blankets every week with hot water at 130 degrees F to kill dust mites. Avoid having too many carpets, upholstered furniture and wool fabrics in your home. And whenever you are vacuuming, try to wear a mask. Also, sleep on a synthetic pillow, and don’t use ones stuffed with down.
