Yoga Heals Mind And Body
I used to spend nights coping with insomnia. As a result, the whole day I felt very exhausted and irritable, and couldn’t concentrate on my work.
I considered sleeping pills but they didn’t prove to be the solution to this problem. Although they provided me a good sleep, I kept waking up in an awful mood and as distressed and tensed as before.
However, a few weeks ago I made up my mind to practice yoga. I had always heard about the healing effects of yoga but had never practiced it before.
I practiced yoga techniques, such as meditation, breathing and postures, namely dog and cat, tadasana and sukhasana. Day by day I felt yoga’s heavenly and magical effect. It seemed to cure both my mind and body.
Apart from insomnia, yoga is great for healing various other deceases, namely asthma, bronchitis, sexual debility, ulcers and heart disease.
Yoga has also played a significant role in my mother’s life. My mom has diabetes. She practiced yoga for a certain period of time with a trained yoga instructor and the result is incredible. Yoga has managed the insulin in her body to some extent.
Now I’d like to convey to you the feelings I had while practicing yoga.
My mind and body were well-balanced, I felt relaxed and a feeling of peace surged into me. All my daily stresses, cares and anxieties abandoned me and I felt taller than ever. Yoga soothed my nerves and now my nervous system is altogether regained.
As I am pretty aware of healing yoga let me give you a piece of advice. Don’t be overloaded with work. Remember that your health is above everything. Practice yoga in case you want to have a sound mind and healthy body. And bear in mind what Dr. Bernard Jensen said: “Health is not everything, but without health everything is nothing.”
