Lose Weight With Water-Rich Veggies :: By Emma
15/02/10
Do you feel hungry? But you need to keep your diet, right? Then do both–eat well and lose weight.
But how will you do that? The answer is simple– just eat foods
which contain water and promote weight loss.
The secret is that water and fiber help us get sated very quickly and therefore, we eat less and use fewer calories. So below are some veggies that contain water and are packed with nutritional vitamins.
Cauliflower is a water-rich veggie. It contains vitamin C and dietary fiber. It is as nutritious as a potato, and very tasty, especially with a cheese sauce. Broccoli has the same components and it is very rich in fiber. If you don’t like these veggies raw, you can have them boiled, fried or roasted. They are also a good means of preventing cancer.
A couple of the radish bulbs have the same effect as a glass of mineral water, but they are much more useful. The radish contains such nutritional vitamins as folic acid and sulfur compounds, which help to digest heavy food easily. The radish also clears the body of chemical waste and gases. It is better to use the green part of this veggie as it is richer in calcium than the roots themselves. You can use radishes in salads.
We all know that excess fat leads to excess weight. When we eat a lot of fat and fried food, the amount of cholesterol is increased in our body. Later it turns into fat cells that line the walls of blood vessels. And grapefruit is one of the best means to cleanse and strengthen those “walls.” In this case, we lose weight, plus the blood circulation gets balanced and there are no diseases connected with the veins, arteries and heart.
We all love lettuce and use it everywhere. It is a very handy veggie and probably the most useful component in fast food. But it also raises the immune system and balances the level of the sugar in the blood. Try to choose dark and reddish leaves of lettuce.
With these veggies, you can eat right and stay healthy.
