Stressed Again? No More Stress! :: By Diana

Stressed Again? No More Stress!Do you often suffer from stress? Then I’m going to give you some useful advice about how to beat it.

In order to overcome stress, it’s necessary to identify what causes it.

When I first moved to another country alone, I had to learn a lot of things in my life. I used to talk to my mom before but then I suddenly had nobody by my side. It was a terrible shock for me when I wanted to share the reasons for my anxieties that accumulated inside me but there was nobody to listen.

I was in hysteria, I couldn’t eat and sleep well. Soon I realized that the things can’t go on like this any more. It was time for me to face life and find treatment for stress.

I have read a lot of books about stress management and found some useful information in them.

When overcoming stress, the main thing to do is to identify the source of it. Once you know the reasons for stress, you’ll develop strategies about how to fight them. The best way in coping with stress is laughter. When you laugh, you reduce your stress level.

Don’t even think about smoking and drinking as they are not solutions to the problem.  Just think deeply for a moment about what a cigarette can really do to help? If there’s something to do, it’s only you who can manage your stress.

So I started analyzing what causes me to become stressed out. I clearly saw the reasons and decided to avoid or alter them. I avoided or ignored the people who contributed to my stress. And I understood that by ignoring them, I irritated them more.

Also learn to say “no” if there’s something you don’t want to do. For instance, if there are activities which others want you to do but you don’t want to, don’t hesitate to say no.

Overcome stress by expressing your feelings and sharing your thoughts. I have learned from my own experience that bottling  them up just makes the situation worse. You may talk to a psychologist if there are no friends or family members with you.

Finally, eating healthy food and exercising are the integral parts of stress treatment.
