Whether you are traveling on business, for pleasure or education you are at risk of being jet lagged.
First of all let us have a clear view of what jet lag is.
Jet lag is a psychological condition resulted by alterations of body’s biological time clock.
Crossing just one or two time zones can hardly cause jet lag. However in case one has to cross three or more time zones, the probability of being jet lagged is greater. Jet lag doesn’t bear any age or gender restrictions. However, people over fifty are more likely to be affected than people under thirty.
Jet lag can lead to disorientation, insomnia, headache, lack of concentration, fuzziness and indigestion. People affected with jet usually recover from it after a certain period of time of sleep and rest. But why waste the trip getting adapted to a new time zone if there is an opportunity to recover much easily and quickly?
Although there are not hundred percent jet lag cures, you can apply some of the most suitable ones. One of the methods of jet lag cure is avoiding alcohol as well as caffeine during the flight and consuming a great amount of water. Another essential method is maintaining a healthy and balanced diet, having an adequate rest and exercising much.
Some people use remedies like Melatonin which helps the body get adjusted to the new surrounding faster. Another method of jet lag cure is regulating sleep cycles to the timetable of a particular destination. By the way, this can be done by setting alarm earlier each morning.
