Sitting: An Innocent Action Or…?
Sitting seems to be the most innocent action that is done by human beings. But do you know that it is one of the most dangerous things to be done to our healthy living?
The studies have shown that sitting long during the day can not only be one of the main heart diseases causes, but can also cause spine problems, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
Experts say that no matter how long we exercise in the morning, if we spend many hours sitting, we will be in a higher risk of health diseases than those who do the same morning exercises but are very active during the day and spend less time sitting.
Unfortunately, I spend most of my time sitting, that’s why I’ve created my own tips to minimize the harmful effects of sitting and to improve my healthy living:
1. The first thing to do is to have a good sleep so that not to feel tired during the day.
2. Do your morning exercises when you wake up, but don’t spend much time on them. It will be better to try to do some short exercises during the whole day.
3. After four hours of sitting our body starts to send harmful signals to our brain, and it can become the main reason of getting fat and can be a serious cause of heart diseases. So, after sitting for more than four hours, just make yourself stand up and walk, change your position for at least about ten minutes.
4. Try to take a break for every 30 minutes, just get up, stretch, move your body. Also, no matter how hungry you are, just try to walk as far as possible to get your lunch, as walking can prevent many diseases.
5. And the last tip is to remember that we are “walking machines,” so try to do everything to correspond to this saying.
